Dear Campaigners,
There is only one week left before we all stand together and demand that our world leaders live up to their promises to end world poverty and achieve the Millennium Development Goals. We need your help to ensure STAND UP is a success. You can help spread the word about STAND UP!
On October 15/16 we will STAND UP as the first generation with the chance to end Poverty. We will STAND UP for the mothers needlessly dying of polluted water, we will STAND UP for the parents unable to give food to their families, we will STAND UP for the millions children unable to attend school. 01-09-06 Dmitry Savelau, Sofia Savelava and NEWLINE team has started to develop THINK ACT MDGs for 2006/2007. The project which is planned to be run within iEARN Network is going to be an online consulting center opened for everyone willing to make a difference in their local community! 07-07-06 Dmitry Savelau and Sofia Savelava held a workshop about THINK ACT MDGs development at the 13th iEARN World Conference and iEARN Youth Summit 3-7.06.06 in Enschede, the Netherlands. International team, formed within the conference is now going to think about how to establish THINK ACT MDGs as an global helping tool for young people. The International team includes various countries from Ukraine to Indonesia. More information about new initative called "THINK ACT MDGs: a consulting center" will be available soon at the web-site.

26-06-06 THINK ACT MDGs is happy to present PEACE ONE DAY campaign at the 13th iEARN Teacher's Conference and iEARN Youth Summit in the Netherlands, July 3-7. Youth Summit's theme of 2006 is the Millennium Campaign. Several actions planed on 21 of September 2006 are going to be discussed more properly at the meetings. 18-06-06 NEWLINE Team has finished designing of certificates that we plan to give to participants of both the Youth Contest of Writing Performance "Who and Why Needs the Millennium Development Goals in Belarus?" and THINK ACT MDGs project in general. Designed examples are available at the web-site (by clicking on images on the left you enlarge them). Again, results of the Contest are already announced, more detail information for participants will be published really soon, follow the news!

12-05-2006 "MDGs and Our Belarus: lessons and perspectives" workshop in Glubokoe was organized in secondary school №3 of Glubokoe town (Vitebsk area) for participants of the Internet-game "OUR Belarus: the Millennium Goals". 30-04-2006 Youth International Education Club “NEWLINE” ("Transformation of Humanities" Association), Youth Philosophy Club WWLI-EHU, iEARN-Belarus (International Education and Resource Network in Belarus), Belarussian FIA ALumni Club with support of Internet Access and Training Program organized National Internet-game «OUR Belarus: the Millennium Goals» on April 21, 2006! 3 hour discussion involved over 70 participants from 15 different educational institutions of Belarus. Using mini-research as a tool, participants had to answer questions of the game, present possible solutions of the issues defined in the Millennium Campaign.
