THINK ACT MDGs @ iEARN You are invited to join a virtual discussion how to develop and realize your action project. The discussion might be useful also if you run your project already but face difficulties you'd like to overcome. Register for the discussion and communicate with other international paricipants. Full description of the discussion: THINK ACT MDGs is an attempt to implement internationally ideas that we’ve been developing in Belarus for in 2005/2006. The idea is to make a virtual consulting center for young people who are positive about making a difference in the world but have an issue about how ideas can have a real implementation. Collecting the most from already existing resources (action toolkits, youth publications and web-sites) that explain how to start your own real initiative, we would be able to create an interactive helping resource that will work towards youth motivation and concrete projects realization within the Millennium Campaign. This year we’ll run this project through iEARN mailing list. Working language: ENGLISH Ages: from 12 and up	Participants profile: we expect either individual or group participation. If you are coordinating a group of students, the amount and age of students does not matter. Timetable for the discussion: October – June – various sessions Discussion (project) contribution to others and the planet: development of local and global youth educational community and support of youth initiatives Curriculum (subject) area: social, political sciences, philosophy, civic and democracy education Facilitators: Dmitry Savelau, Sofia Savelava THINK ACT MDGs-iEARN ACTION PLAN Participants are welcomed to enroll at any time of the project, however the earlier you start taking part the more sense it might make. There’re several steps and activities we plan to run within this pilot project this year. - Participants introduction - Presentation of the Millennium Campaign and 8 MDGs. - Localizing the Goals and personalizing the needs (of individual, group or local community) - Solutions – what can we do together? - Defining the resources - Writing down the ideas … Simultaneously, we plan to run a discussion about/at every stage of the THINK ACT MDGs.
